[Flocculation mechanism]
When a large number of vortex street reactors are placed in the coagulation reaction area, due to the relatively small flow rate in the reactor, a floc suspension area is formed inside the vortex street reactor in the upward flow area, and the suspended flocs flocculate the destabilizing colloid in the water flow. As there are suspended flocs in each vortex street reactor in the upward flow area, the total volume is large, forming three-dimensional contact flocculation: the flocs in the vortex street reactor have high growth quality, Under the action of eddy current, too large flocs will be broken into smaller flocs to maintain the flocculation capacity (too large flocs will reduce the total surface area and the adsorption capacity). The flocs with low density will be broken and re flocculated into higher density flocs under the action of micro eddy current, which is conducive to precipitation and separation.

The vortex street reactor equipment divides the reaction section into three stages. The first stage reaction is the most violent, which ensures the full contact between the agent and the particles in the water, creating favorable conditions for the formation of dense alum flowers. The flow rates of the second and third stage reactions gradually decrease, during which the dense alum flowers gradually form, and then flow slowly through two transition sections. The dense alum flowers enter the sedimentation tank, laying a good foundation for the subsequent sedimentation work.
