In structure, the sludge thickener is a center driven continuous or intermittent thickening and clarification equipment. It is mainly composed of concentration tank, specially designed large torque water bridge, main transmission mechanism, lifting mechanism and slag rake.
The sludge thickener is mainly used to improve the solid content, that is, the sludge concentration, of sludge with a concentration of 1% or less. The effluent concentration after thickening by the sludge thickener is above 3%, which is convenient for subsequent mechanical dewatering and improves the working efficiency and use effect of mechanical dewatering.
Sludge thickener is a kind of concentration and clarification equipment with central drive and continuous or intermittent operation.
Sludge thickener is mainly used for water treatment systems such as blast furnace, continuous casting, hot rolling and water plant in metallurgical industry, or for concentration or purification of all solid slurry in industries such as coal, chemical industry, building materials, water source and sewage treatment. It can also be used for concentrate and tailings slurry thickening and dewatering in wet beneficiation operation.
Structure and characteristics of main components of sludge thickener: the thickener is composed of five parts: thickener, specially designed large torque water bridge, main transmission mechanism, lifting mechanism and slag rake.
1. Main transmission mechanism The main transmission mechanism is a system that drives the rake frame to rotate. It is mainly composed of a motor, a cycloidal pin gear reducer and a main worm gear pair. To ensure the need to lift the rake frame during operation, the worm gear and the vertical shaft are connected by splines. Under normal operation, the vertical shaft can freely move up and down axially.
2. If the thickener is overloaded during the operation of the hoisting mechanism and torque measurement switch protection device, the hoisting mechanism can lift the slag rake through the serial vertical shaft to ensure the safe operation of the machinery. Its main structure consists of two parts: torque measuring switch specially designed and manufactured, alarm, control device and actuator.
The sludge thickener is generally composed of thickener, cake rack, transmission device, cake rack lifting device, feeding device, unloading device and signal safety device. When the thickener is working, the sludge thickener has a unloading hopper at the bottom center to discharge concentrated products, and an annular overflow tank is set around the commercial port of the tank.
Characteristics of sludge thickener: there is a vertical shaft in the center of the thickener, which is driven by the motor fixed on the truss through the cylindrical gear reducer, intermediate gear and worm gear reducer. When the vertical axis rotates, the slurry flows into the receiving barrel in the center of the pool along the feed tank on the truss and flows around the concentration pool. The solid particles in the thickener pulp gradually settle to the bottom of the thickener, and are scraped into the discharge hopper in the center of the tank by the scraper under the bar frame and discharged by the sand pump. The clear water layer above flows out from the annular overflow tank at the upper part of the pool.
