Electric flocculation air flotation equipment

[Introduction]

Electroflocculation flotation process is a combination of electrolysis, flocculation and flotation.

[Principle]

Place metal aluminum or iron as anode in the water to be purified. During electrolysis, aluminum ions or ferric ions dissolved in the anode solution and transferred to the solution are hydrolyzed to become effective flocculants for dispersing impurities. The chemical formula of the electrode shows that oxygen bubbles are generated on the anode and hydrogen bubbles are generated on the cathode. When these bubbles rise, they will bring suspended solids out of the water surface to form a scum layer; On the other hand, aluminum ions (or ferric ions) and their hydrolytic polymerization products interact with suspended impurities to cause flocculation. The electro flocculation air flotation method has many advantages over the conventional coagulation method:

Any chemical coagulant can be omitted;

There are no anions and impurities in electrocoagulation floatation;

The electric field formed by the electric flocculation reactor is the change from mutual exclusion between particles to attraction and coalescence;

The tiny bubbles of O2 and H2 air floatation generated in the electro flocculation air floatation reaction absorb light suspended particles or hydrophobic substances to separate them from water;

The effect of removing bacteria can be achieved by removing suspended solids in water and selecting special electrodes.

Sun Jinyong et al. used electric flocculation air flotation to treat domestic wastewater, and found that under certain conditions, the turbidity removal rate could reach 95%, and the COD removal rate could reach 59%. Compared with the chemical coagulation method with flocculant, this method can remove a wide range of pollutants, react quickly, apply to a wide range of PH, and has good sediment compaction and clarification effect. It is widely used for wastewater treatment in printing and dyeing, dye chemical, hospital, leather, electroplating and other industries.

Power consumption: According to different water quality treatment requirements, the power consumption per ton of treated water is 0.1-1.5kWh.

[Operating Instructions]

1. Installation method

The electric flocculator can be installed near the treatment site, and the power control cabinet should be placed in the drying equipment room. If there are special explosion-proof requirements, they should be explained in advance.

2. Operation method

The equipment is in continuous automatic operation mode, and no special person is required to take care of it. The flow meter is set at the water inlet, and the flow can be controlled by the valve. The outlet water is pressurized by the pump into other treatment systems, or discharged directly. Equipment blowdown can be set to manual or automatic control mode as required.

3. Precautions:

(1) When using the equipment, the pump shall be turned on first and then the equipment shall be turned on. The equipment cannot be powered on without water to avoid danger and equipment damage.

(2) Do not cut off power at will when the equipment is working with water.

(3) Do not touch the voltage output terminal when it is powered on to avoid danger.

(4) Keep the heat sink well ventilated when the equipment is powered on.

(5) The electrical parts shall not be wetted or wrapped with plastic cloth.

(6) The equipment must be shut down before maintenance.

(7) If the subsequent process or equipment has been scaled, the treated process or equipment shall be discharged once every 2 hours of operation, and each time shall not be less than 3 minutes; The fallen dirt shall be cleaned regularly to prevent the residue from blocking the equipment and causing accidents.

(8) The equipment shall not be collided with force during loading and unloading.
